Learn More About Our Company Job Purpose Generates and publishes production schedules, analyzes production requirements and plant capacity, creates purchase orders, orders inventory, coordinates materials and provides production status updates to ensure on-time delivery to meet customer demand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Analyzes production requirements and plant capacity data.
Analyzes inventory and prepares purchase orders for production materials in support of LEAN manufacturing initiatives Orders materials for production to build customer orders in a timely manner.
Interfaces with vendors to ensure supply chain viability.
Performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing capabilities.
Generates department schedules to establish production sequence in support of the master schedule.
Generates reports to communicate production status, inventory levels, and general performance as required.
Provides support to production manager and supervisors to ensure compliance of production schedules and assists in resolution of material shortages and/or schedule constraints.
Expedites operations that delay schedule conformance and modifies schedules to meet customer requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of management, vendors, suppliers, customers and others.
Skill and accuracy in data entry and the ability to compile reports and analyze data.
Ability to adapt easily with constant or sudden changes to scheduling.
Ability to switch priorities and communicate changes to the team.
Skill in negotiating and to problem solving.
Ability to expedite and escalate situations that could cause downtime for production Ability to interpret data and make decisions based on past trends and information at hand.
Advanced mathematical and software skills.
Ability to work extra hours during high volume times.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Associate degree or the equivalent in Inventory, Planning, Accounting, Procurement or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and/or related job experience, plus two years experience in similar position, manufacturing experience or the equivalent.
Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, Outlook, database entry.
