Join our team and let's continue making chocolate lovers happy! A day in the life… As the Material Handler (SAP), you will be responsible for issuing and returning material from process orders and properly accounting for all inventory used.
You are responsible for effectively ensuring all line items are properly issued to each process order in the production area, including chocolate.
You will perform pre-shift, during shift, and end of shift “Goods Issue” and “Reversal of Goods issue” transactions.
Additionally, as the Material Handler (SAP) you will be a back-up cycle counter as requested by either Finance, Scheduling, or the Inventory Team.
You will also be responsible for wrapping/packaging material, verifying quantities, and moving the material to the appropriate area for storage by warehouse personnel.
Hours for this position Monday-Thursday 2PM-12:30AM.
What you will be doing… • Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling material from inventory (PWIP), issuing to process orders through scan gun transactions and delivering production materials and supplies where needed through the production line.
• Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on process orders.
• Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
• Locates and packages materials for return to warehouse after the completion of the order.
• Reports any quality deficiencies to the Plant Purchasing Agent.
• Operates pallet jacks, and other hand tools to move items.
• Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
Do you have what it takes? (Basic Qualifications) • Must have ability to routinely and frequently stand, stoop, bend, climb and lift to meet cleaning requirements.
• Must have good hand-eye coordination and possess motor skills enabling mobility and quick reflexes.
• Must have visual/hearing ability sufficient to recognize or detect warning devices/signs.
• Must have ability to routinely lift 50lbs.
• Noisy environment.
• Body strain from repeated motion.

Your safety is important to us, so we provide protective gear.
We also go through an in-depth Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) training on your first day and continue to share safety tips daily.
• Surroundings.
You'll be working around different machines – Schubert's, forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and chocolate candy banks/steels.
• Activity.
Some activities may require standing in one place for long periods, walking around, or climbing stairs/ladders, and routinely lifting 50 lbs.
• Temperature.
You will be comfortable year-round with our climate-controlled environment.
Our temperatures are consistently around 63°F but could fluctuate depending on your specific role.
• Smell.
You will enjoy a variety of deliciously sweet aromas and you may end your day smelling like chocolate! • Dress code.
Relaxed, with a few rules to follow for food safety, personal safety, and guidance with our good manufacturing practices (GMP).
Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required.
Leather, imitation leather, or rubber boots or shoes must be worn in the kitchen and other areas when working around hot liquid/product or hot water.
