*JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY* Responsible for the development and sustainability of a continuous improvement culture.
Assist in assessment, prioritization and execution of performance management/lean manufacturing/data analysis projects which meet yearly site objectives for overall continuous improvement initiatives set during the budgeting process.
*JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS* *Lean Initiatives* * Perform an audit of functions within the organization for process improvement initiatives.
* Conduct an assessment of manufacturing operations to provide focused improvement opportunities in order to increase production efficiencies, eliminate waste, reduce inventory, reduce lead times, increase quality and increase due date performance, etc.
* Coordinate training and education for lean management initiatives, including invites, meeting room confirmation, materials, etc.
* Coordinate the implementation of various improvements, including but not limited to Gemba walks, 6S audits, assessments, visual management, etc.
* Work with management to execute and effectively communicate lean principles and tools throughout the organization.
* Work with cross-functional teams to identify and develop continuous improvement strategies that will drive operational excellence through continuous improvement and standard processes.
* Build knowledge of lean philosophy and lean tools through continuing education from training programs, conferences, plant visits, reference books and dialogue with other lean champions/facilitators from other lean companies.
* Assist with identifying ongoing lean improvement training needs and assist with developing and implementing the required training program.
* Maintain Standard Work procedures and production processes; audit standard work procedures for production processes.
*Reporting/Metrics/Analysis* * Audit and report improvement specifics to management team including metric generation, meeting effectiveness, data analysis and project status.
* Assist in the development, management, monitoring and retargeting of KPI’s for the organization.
* Track and create reports for various metrics, including but not limited to savings, throughput, efficiency, scrap reduction, etc.
* Generate standard or custom reports summarizing assessments of manufacturing operations to provide focused improvement opportunities to increase production efficiencies, eliminate waste, reduce inventory, reduce lead times, increase quality and increase due date performance.
* Work with management to establish brownbag lunch sessions regarding lean/six sigma topics.
*Other* * Attends meetings and training as required and/or assigned.
* Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.
*Special Job Dimensions* * Will be required to travel up to 30% of the time.
*REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS* *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities* * Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet * Knowledge and understanding of 6S initiatives.
* Strong change management skills to include the practical implementation of Lean Manufacturing Principles and Concepts * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Group facilitating skills.
* Strong report and metrics building skills.
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships.

*Education, Certification/License & Work Experience* * High School Diploma or GED equivalent * College preferred.
* 5 years’ experience in a continuous improvement (Lean) environment * Solid understanding of Lean principles Job Type: Full-time Pay: $56,000.
00 - $66,000.
