Job Duties: Work involves supervision of a general assignment caseload or other specific caseload as directed by the Department’s Chief CSO.
The person in this position will be required to prepare presentence investigation reports and other court reports as requested; supervise completion of Court ordered conditions; verify collection of restitution and costs; maintain contact with outside agencies and the public; perform field visits, home studies and child welfare visits; mediation and child custody evaluations; utilize required case management system to compile information and log case contacts; comply with requirements of all mandated state and local policies and procedures; and perform any additional duties as required by the CSOIII, Chief CSO or the Court.
Required Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in corrections, criminology, counseling, psychology, sociology, social work or a closely related field.

Must have a valid drivers license and access to legal means of transportation for field visits.
If employed by Court Services, the new employee must pass a fingerprint-based background check within the first 30 days of employment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Working knowledge of the juvenile justice and child welfare fields.
Experience in caseload management.
Ability to multitask and have excellent time management skills
Ability to communicate and to express ideas clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
Proficient in use of current computer programs and technology
Professional, courteous and cooperative in demeanor
Ability to speak Spanish is helpful
