Security Engineer

*Summary:* The Security Engineerhas the general responsibility of achieving security excellence through coordination with Farmers Alliance’s executive management team, operational leadership teams, and technology teams.
This position will be responsible for evaluating the vision of the team’s leadership and developing a plan to realize that vision by promoting the appropriate security related technology.
*Essential Duties & Responsibilities:* * Maintain a working knowledge of new technology, market trends, and industry developments.
* Participate with leadership to develop and manage ongoing enterprise security governance, compliance, and reliability initiatives.
* Serve as a consultant for the business leaders to assist in adopting security solutions that deliver positive results.
* Identify enterprise requirements for infrastructure resources required to support security implementations or changes.
* Assist with documentation of security policies, processes, and procedures.
* Monitor systems for access, use, and security concerns.
* Investigate and document security breaches and other cyber security incidents.
* Workindependently andwithcross-functionalsecurity team to perform tests, uncover vulnerabilities, and mitigate security concerns.
* Maintain a working knowledge of security trends, standards, and news.
Attend conferences and educational events.
Obtain certifications related to cyber security focused practices.
* Assist colleagues to install and maintain security software, apply security focused practices, and understand information security management.
* Develop a documented security assessment plan that includes routine testing, monitoring, reporting, and training.
* Assist in the preparation and execution ofthe Farmers Alliance organization’s disaster recovery and business continuity plans, policies, and procedures.
* Assist in the development of executive reports, including security related metrics.
* Troubleshooting,diagnosingand resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problemsin coordination with IT Infrastructure Team.
* During designated times, be willing to participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support, as necessary.
* Assist Enterprise IT in the maintenance and daily support activities for the individual business units as time or need allows.
* Introduce alternative technologies to improve or enhance client information systems to support organizational goals.
*Required Skills & Abilities:* * Proficient in various security technologies.
* Basic programming/scripting knowledge.
* Ability to provide technical solutions, determine overall design direction and provide recommendations for complex technical issues.
* Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
*Education &/or Experience:* * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related field.
* Network security/components, AD, VMWare:5years(Required).
* Designing,integrating,and managing complex security systems:5years (Required).
* Experience as a System Security Expert or similar role:5 years(Required).
* Experience or knowledge in an effective Security Awareness Program.
* Experience in security audit and compliance practices.
* Experience in managing application, end-point, and email security.
* Knowledge of potential attack vectors such as XSS, injection, hijacking, social engineering, etc.
* Knowledge of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP.
* Knowledge and experience with HTTP and HTTPS, as well as their underlying implementations.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.
00 - $110,000.
